I posted this issue in the Windows 10 support forum but they suggested that maybe I come here.
Yesterday my computer started becoming semi "unresponsive." Its not that the entire screen freezes up, but programs and windows will stop responding to any input.
Task Manager does not show that any of the active programs are not responding.
If I do CTRL + ALT + DEL and go to the Task Manager, this will unfreeze whatever given program is not responding temporarily, but other problems persist such as the taskbar, windows menu, and right click menus continuing to be unresponsive, and its only a matter of moments before I have to do this process over again.
It is difficult to even make posts on a forum such as this because of these issues.
I have ran Windows Defender, Malware Bytes and Kaspersky but none of them have found any issues.
I am a freelancer and rely on my computer for my job and have already lost a full day's work due to these issues.
I have followed any and all advice given to me in the Windows 10 Support forum but have made no progress.
If anyone could suggest anything I could do, or what they would do in my situation, I would be extremely grateful.
Thank you so much for your support.

Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST)

--------------------
  • Download Farbar Recover Scan Tool for 64 bit systems and note where the file is saved (Desktop, Downloads, etc.) <<< Important
  • If your computer language is other than English right click on the FRST64 icon and rename it to FRST64english
  • Right click on the icon and select Run as administrator
  • Note: If you receive any warning about the download it is a false positive and you can ignore it. Click on More info to get the Run anyway option
  • Click Yes to the disclaimer
  • Click Scan and allow the program to run
  • Click OK on the Scan complete screen, then OK on the Addition.txt pop up screen
  • 2 Notepad documents should now be open on your desktop.
  • Please copy and paste the contents of each report in separate reply windows

Things I would like to see in your next reply. Please be sure to copy and paste any requested log information unless you are asked to attach it. :thumbsup2:

brought the PC into a shop, they updated it to Windows 11, which I didn't really want, but the problem has gone away now, so...win?

If you prefer Windows 10 you should be able to revert back within 10 days (I think) then troubleshoot if necessary. If you don't want the hassle then I guess just stick with Windows 11.

Thank you, thats good to know. I will probably just adapt to Windows 11, but I appreciate you filling me in that I can do this if I choose. I'm worried the issue might come back, so I'll most likely just leave it.

OP reflects 3 MRL topics which have been closed and are duplicates of the issues reflected here.

My more recent post had more succinct and updated info, shall I repost that here? I made a new post as directed by another member and as there has been no activity on this post for several days I thought it relevant to just put it all there instead, apologize if that was wrong.

Your multiple posting of topics...has created confusion.  Do not post any more topics on this matter.  If you feel that you do not have malware issues...I suggest you send a PM to Oh My! and indicate that this Malware Forum topic should now be closed.

I can't speak to what you have experienced elsewhere but if you feel like you have a malware issue you are welcome to complete the FRST Scan instructions and post the reports in your reply.

It appears that this issue is resolved, therefore I am closing the topic. If that is not the case and you need or wish to continue with this topic, please send me or any Moderator a Personal Message (PM) that you would like this topic re-opened.
