This is the first version of Winduhs I've paid for in nearly 30 years, and it's also the one that's had the most trouble besides M.E.

Seemingly at random, Winduhs will deactivate itself for no apparent reason at all, I run the troubleshooter and it re-activates. It hasn't really caused any problems outside of annoying the piss out of me, but I would like to tray and get it to function properly.

Edition    Windows 10 Pro
Version    22H2
Installed on    ‎Fri, ‎04/‎9/‎2021
OS build    19045.3324
Experience    Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19041.1000.0

Hello:

More details/info will likely be needed, but for starters....

Please perform one or both of these steps and post back with the results and/or screenshots:

Thanks

Going to settings activation, as I said, is how it gets reactivated for a time "We have activated this copy of Windows" but later, randomly, it deactivates again.

https://imgur.com/a/nL6lqCd (I posted it here because Bleeping Computer says I'm not allowed to upload png or jpg files, wtf?)

I omitted the parts I don't feel comfortable sharing, but as you can see there, it is currently activated

Thanks for the info.

Until additional, more expert helpers weigh in....

First: Please perform the command-prompt license check described in my previous reply & post a screenshot of the result.

Next: Please perform from the elevated command prompt this command: slmgr.vbs /xpr
Press Enter and then post a screenshot of the result.

Also: you mentioned that you “paid for” this Win10 license.

So, it would help to know:

  • Is this the custom-built computer described in your forum profile?
  • Was there a previous Windows version (e.g., 7, 8, 8.1) installed on this machine?
  • If so, did you upgrade to Win10 or did you perform a clean install of Win10?
  • Either way, did you change hardware, especially the mobo, somewhere along the way?
  • Have you tried to link the Win10 license to your MS account?
  • Where and when did you purchase the Windows 10 license? Please provide details

(Note: If you omit some of the relevant info from the screenshots & requested diagnostics outputs, it will be hard to help you.)

Thanks

"First: Please perform the command-prompt license check described in my previous reply & post a screenshot of the result" I did this, that's what the Imgur link is to because this forum says I'm not allowed to post PNG or JPG files for some reason... The omitted parts could possibly link to personal information and/or product keys, thus the pic pertains to what you asked: To show that it is currently activated

Also: you mentioned that you “paid for” this Win10 license.

So, it would help to know:

  • Is this the custom-built computer described in your forum profile? Yes
  • Was there a previous Windows version (e.g., 7, 8, 8.1) installed on this machine? No
  • If so, did you upgrade to Win10 or did you perform a clean install of Win10? Clean install a couple years ago
  • Either way, did you change hardware, especially the mobo, somewhere along the way? The GPU was changed
  • Have you tried to link the Win10 license to your MS account? It is
  • Where and when did you purchase the Windows 10 license? Please provide details. It's an OEM serial purchased online and this problem has only started in the last month or so, and the troubleshooter immediately reactivates it until it deactivates again for unknown reasons

Since you do not wish to provide information that could help your self suggest that contact Windows Support.

From what you describe: If your license key is OEM, it likely won't work properly for a custom-built computer.
You likely would have needed a Retail key.

Having said that, I agree with @Pkshadow: since you have not been forthcoming with the relevant info requested, we cannot help you.

I agree that your best bet is to contact Microsoft by phone. With enough patience, you ought to be able to get through eventually to someone who can assist with your activation issues.

You might try here: (888) 352-7140.

I see you're having a bit of a tussle with Windows activation. No worries, we've got your back!

Let's try a couple of things to get your system back on track:

  1. System Detective: Run a "system file check" like a detective searching for clues. Open Command Prompt, type in "sfc /scannow," and let it do its thing. It might fix any sneaky corrupted files.
  2. Uninvited Guests: Make sure no viruses crashed your activation party. Run a scan with your trusty antivirus software and give those buggers the boot.
  3. Time Travel Check: Make sure your computer's time and date are right. If your clock is playing tricks, Windows might get confused about when it's supposed to party.

  4. Manual Help: If online activation isn't cooperating, you can be the hero and call Microsoft's activation hotline. They're like the experts you call when you're in a pickle.

  5. Snoop on Events: The Event Viewer spills the beans on what's happening. Check for any "oopsies" or "uh-ohs" related to activation in there.

  6. Last Resort Dance: If all else fails, there's a "secret move" called `slmgr.vbs /rearm` that might do the trick. But use it carefully, like a secret recipe you only pull out for special occasions.

Sometimes tech can be a bit finicky. If these steps don't save the day, don't hesitate to buzz up Microsoft support—they're the real deal in sorting out these shenanigans.

Cheers, and good luck getting your Windows back to its happy self!

Where did you get your OS from originally ??

If you got it from Amazon or someplace like that or the original activation was done by whom ever sold you the computer with the OS would be the issue.

The keys were used too many times and they all were deactivated.  It is time to take your issue to Microsoft or buy a product key.

Agree.
Alas, the OP never provided the requested screenshots showing results of the command prompt license/activation checks and never answered the question about where the Windows license was purchased ("online" isn't helpful).
Without that info, there's nothing we can do here in the forum.
And it suggests that the key sold to the OP likely is not valid/legal.

As such, as previously suggested by everyone who has tried to help, contacting MS by phone (or buying a new license) may be the only viable option(s).

Good luck - I hope MS can resolve your issue.

It was a factory sealed (meaning you can't see the key) OEM DVD activated by MS using their phone system

So yet again I'm being called a liar and a thief... lol So sorry if I don't want to provide a picture potentially exposing sensitive information, though a picture of the overall result WAS posted

I called MS and their big advice was "Just reinstall it"
