Hello everyone, starting with this post, please post here with any updates/news about new builds that are released for the Technical Preview of Windows 10, this will keep a nice timeline of updates and will keep the general Windows 10 forum clean and organized. This post will be unpinned when Windows 10 is officially released.

Please do not post a new topic in the Windows 10 forum about new builds and news about them, instead post it here in this topic.

You may discuss each build here, but if you have a problem with a build that you would like help with post it in a new topic in the Windows 10 forum, that way you can receive help with that issue.

It would be helpful if you could put the build number at the top of your post along with what track it is in so others can easily find that information and then read about it. :)

20/5/15
Current Build #10122

Fast Track Build 10122 was @ WU as of 20/5/15.

1st off, ppl are really going to like the work that has been done in the Start menu.

Warning!
You may want to switch to Slow Track & wait this one out IF you have an AMD GPU... Edge may crash & freeze.  Windows is working w/ AMD to be able to rectify the matter w/ an update anon.  OR hold off on using Edge, for the time being.

Install completed in 45 mins.

Not only some huge & good work in the Start menu...

Another thing I've noticed is a good bit of good work in Edge.  One item is Rt Clk functions for Favorites Bars sites.  There's a number of little things which become noticeable as one moves about some;  can be seen in icons, graphics, consistency.

Anyway, Insider Hub has all the juicy gossip regarding this Build.  Be sure to give that a look-see.

The transparency bit is ok but, even in this Build, still, that "Frosted Glass" (blurred) idea instead of plain transparency.

What things have YOU discovered in this Build?

Cheers,
Drew

That is stated in Insider Hub as being a known issue.  The Team is working w/ AMD to resolve this asap; if not w/ an Update, by the next Build.

Drew

I noticed some of my shortcut icons in the start menu are pixelated specially the ones that I added: This PC, My Documents and the IE one

All the rest look okay.

Bruce.

One of the things I can say I like about this update is even though it moved build 10074 into the newly named Windows.old folder, it actually saved my programs with 100% complete functionality, no program re-installs needed.

Bruce,

You have raised more of a point than you may realise and to an IT Pro, it's borderline thrilling and, certainly, really neat.  Meaning, prior to Win10 vs now, it's like wake me, must be dreaming.  The amount of hours, toil, grief, baby-sitting (installs & hardware not, people) we expended in the past, OMG!!  And this is the 4th OS I have bet tested... this is NOW approach to things is wonderful... we used to have Builds one after another... get the new, dump the old, install the new... to have a (new) Build completely pushed out, "Zero-touch DeploymentAND to get the ISO! OMG!!  Really??!!  Wow, that's just so cool.  2 days ago I installed a complete OS via WU, and that replaced a previous, w/out lifting a finger and it took 45 minutes.  WHAT??!!  Oh you lucky bugger!  Damn it's nice having it done like this!!

No fuss, no muss & quick like bunny rabbit.

And as an aside, Build 10122 is looking very good and performing very well!!  Solid as a rock, too.

Cheers,
Drew

Sorry I should have mentioned earlier but AMD has provided drivers eliminating the issue their GPUs were causing in Build 10122.

Drew

I have an important announcement!

Gabriel Has Said: "We are now testing 10130 in the internal ring" so we should have another build soon!

He Also said that 10122 is not coming to the slow ring due to a blocking bug that breaks start.

No Build # would surprise... MS was on Build #10125 about 2 wks ago; well before the Fast Track had 10122; while we were on 10074.

Have 10122 now & Start is not broken... pheew, dodged another bullet, lol.

Cheers,
Drew

I have 10122 installed as the main OS on one machine and VM on another. The one with TP as the main OS has a ATI graphics card that they said new drivers are out there but I'm still not able to use Edge. I even uninstalled drivers and did a scan for new hardware and it installed a driver but no luck. I also do updates everyday and haven't seen any AMD ATI drivers. TP is the VM works fine and it uses a Nvidia graphics card.

I cannot use Edge except for maybe 5 mins or less because it will freeze everything and I do not have an AMD GPU.  We are trying to figure out the cause.

But, yes, AMD allegedly  provided a driver to solve the issue. Try the Insider Hub or Gabe Aul blog.

Cheers,

Drew
