Hello Everyone,

I have 3 routers in my home. One is main router (R1) and second router (R2) is connected to main and third router (R3) is connected to second.

One laptop is connected (by wifi) to R2 and second laptop is connected to R3 router. Everything is working okay.

I have a HP Laserjet printer which is 5-6 years old and can only be connected by USB cable. I connected it to my second laptop and it works fine. I shared the printer also.

The first laptop is able to detect it but it is unable to install or connect to it. I checked all settings and they seem fine. File sharing is on, password sharing is off.

1) What can I do ? Why it is not working?

2) Is there a way to connect it to router right away. R3 router does not have usb port. (R2 & R3 router are tplink routers) (R1 is dlink)

I am also attaching error message screenshot in this post.

Help will be appreciated.

Thank you

GR

You issue is that you are cascading routers for no reason. Of course you are going to have issues, same as sharing a printer off of one computer instead of using a network print server (ie Raspberry Pi zero).
