How much space do you have on your hard drive?

Well actually 320gig does not answer the needed info as you must have 15% or more free on all drives at all times especially C:

https://www.partitionwizard.com/resizepartition/windows-update-error-0x80070057.html  Try these and only if continued problems supply below.

Please Post a "link" of Speccy Report.
Please install Speccy Free : https://m.majorgeeks.com/files/details/speccy.html
Use Custom Install
At the Top Left Corner of Speccy --> Click File and then Click Publish Snapshot Report, a window will popup and Click YES. --> Another popup will appear and then Click "Copy To Clipboard" then Paste that "link" to your next reply in your thread.

Download Minitoolbox from the below link :
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/minitoolbox/
Run the tool and only select the following tick boxes.
-List last 10 Event viewer errors
    -List installed programs
    -List devices
-List users, partition and memory size
Now click "Go" and Copy/Paste and post the output text in your next reply

In addition to the advice already suggested:

Your Speccy report suggests that there are at least remnants of two 3rd-party antivirus programs on the system (ESET NOD 32 & McAfee). Those could possibly interfere with the feature update to 23H2. You might want to remove those programs/remnants using the vendors' removal tools and/or Revo or Geek Uninstaller.
(Windows Updates issues notwithstanding, it's never advisable to run more than one full AV/AM suite in real-time, due to clashes, conflicts & system slowdowns.)

Having said that, error code 0x80070057 suggests a storage issue. Since insufficient space does NOT appear to be the problem, you could be dealing with a corrupted Windows partition or other problem:

As a follow-up to the previous suggestions, you might try the following before reattempting the 23H2 feature update:

DISM (note: there are 3 separate steps to this, first to find problems & then to fix them)

SFC

Why I suggest the AdwCleaner is that a error that is in the MTB Report maybe a Viral/Malware issue from the short time I looked things up on the laptop.

You should let us know the results of the scan so that can figure out some of the Service Errors you have if not caused by a Virial/malware issue.

And that's why I specifically said, "....*in addition to* the advice already provided..." :-)

Having said that, Adwcleaner only detects/removes adware, PUPs, & spyware, *not* serious malware, trojans or "viruses". Moreover, I understood BC forum rules to restrict malware diagnosis and cleaning only to the Malware Removal sub-forum?

I doubt adware or PUPs are causing the OP's issue with a failed feature upgrade to 23H2. But I suppose running Adwcleaner won't hurt. :-)

Perhaps the OP will reply with additional information & feedback.

Respectfully submitted

Thanks for the update.

Just to clarify:

- Did you successfully run both DISM & SFC?

- If so, what were the results?

- Did you remove the remnants of ESET, Norton & Avast?

- Did you try the solutions suggested in the Lifewire article?

- Did you run Adwcleaner?

If none of those resolved the issue, then you might consider the following:

Edit: Sorry, Dan & I were posting at the same time. Similar/identical suggestions.
