I have a HP Notebook - 15-f233wm (ENERGY STAR) with no windows on it. I have no other computer and no flash drives. All I have is a windows vista business 32 bit install cd. Attached are pictures.

Is there something one of you fine folks can suggest I try to do? I've used this cd just fine in vmware before so I know it's good.

Pictures included are as follows:
1) Bios Main
2) Bios Boot Options (Legacy support making it weird?)
3) Boot from HDD
4) Install failed
5) Diskpart

Why not install the Windows 10 Home 64 that came with it? If Vista installs you will have issues with drivers.

Flash drives are cheap. You do not have any friends or family with a computer?

It seems I was able to get around diskpart and clean my drive, but the install still errors out.

I'm seeking to go to a legacy os for better performance in games due to less background processes and such.

I doubt you will be able to find Vista drivers for that computer as the computer was pre-installed with Windows 10.  The biggest problem you will have is the CPU. The computer specs with an intel Celeron N3050 and it's a low end processor. Games will not play well with that CPU and integrated intel graphics. It's not a gaming computer.

Something to note about the install itself is on the "copying files" stage it completes immediately and tries to expand the files. obviously this is not right.

Maybe someone with way too much time on there hands can trace that code somewhere. I obviously can't debug without an OS:p

I really don't think it's bad media. It's an official microsoft disc not scratched too much and everything was working on the computer as of 2 days ago now. And i've used this same disc in vmware ezpz no issues.
