Hello,

I have an old Dell computer with Windows XP installed that I only use for the app FrontPage. It only works with Windows XP. I use FrontPage to update my web site incinerama.com. I send pictures from an email from a laptop to my email. I access the email from the old computer and update.

In the past I would click on the Chrome web browser icon and it would bring me to https://currently.att.yahoo.com. From there I would click on email, enter username and password, and it would tell me that mail is not supported on XP would you like to use Basic Mail. I would select Basic and it worked fine.

Now when I click on the Chrome web browser icon, It brings me to Google Chrome and want me to sign in to that. Instead I enter https://currently.att.yahoo.com, Select email,  I enter username and Password and it just does nothing. No error messages. I cleared cache and did a restart but that didn't help.

Thanks,

Roland

You'll need to use an updated browser

It tells me I have to download the Windows XP version of Google Chrome ( the latest version will not work with Windows XP.). I do that but it doesn't make any difference. I saw on the internet that for Windows XP you should use a different browser like Opera so I downloaded that. Didn't make any difference.

Have you ever tried Firefox ESR 52.9? Chrome ended support for Windows XP seven years ago, so if Chrome is the only browser for you, then you better find a way to update your website that does not require XP. Im guessing this is not really for you, but heres a link to the subforum at MSFN that is the fringe browser capital of the world:

Edit: It sounds like you are basically using email to transfer pictures from a laptop (presumably with a newer OS) to an XP system. How about this: Put pictures on removable media such as a USB storage device or a burned data disk, then copy them directly onto the XP system?
