I am having problems accessing websites on my tablet (Samsung Android) via Chrome. Most will not open. I can open apps eg I can open my Natwest app but not my mobile banking accounts on the NatWest website.

What should I do?

I would suggest either of two courses of action. First, uninstall Chrome and re-install it or, second, install a second bowser, perhaps Firefox.

  1. Check your internet connection. Make sure that you are connected to the internet and that your internet connection is strong enough to load websites. You can try restarting your router or modem to see if that fixes the problem.
  2. Clear your browser's cache and data. This can help to fix problems with websites not loading properly. To do this, open Chrome and go to Settings > Privacy > Clear browsing data. Select Cached images and files and Cookies and site data, then tap Clear data.
  3. Update Chrome. Make sure that you have the latest version of Chrome installed. To do this, open Chrome and go to Settings > Help > About Chrome. If there is an update available, Chrome will automatically download and install it.
  4. Try a different browser. If you are still having problems accessing websites in Chrome, try using a different browser, such as Firefox or Safari. This can help you to determine if the problem is with Chrome or with the website itself.
  5. Reset your tablet. If you have tried all of the above steps and you are still having problems, you can try resetting your tablet. This will erase all of your data, so make sure to back up your data before you do this. To reset your tablet, go to Settings > General management > Reset > Factory data reset.
