Hello everyone,
I am wondering if anyone can tell me what the next step would be in trying to get this Chromebook to work.
The Chromebook model is C202XA. The problems started when I attempted to install Linux on the system. I diligently followed the instructions to enable USB booting by commands shell / sudo bash / enable_dev_usb_boot and I was only met with audible beeps from CTRL + U / CTRL + L using 2 different OS systems. I enabled debugging features as well to no avail but it didn't recognise the password until I reset the system. I eventually powerwashed the Chromebook.
The factory reset of the Chromebook failed, it wanted me to reset via USB stick as internet restore wasn't available. I could get into The Chromebook and bypass the ChromeOS is missing or Damaged by booting into recovery mode via ESC / REFRESH / POWER and disabling OS verification. CTRL + D would then boot the system as normal. However, upon following Google steps to restore Chromebook, it showed the error an unexpected error has occurred. I tried multiple ways to fix this including using a secondary USB stick, formatting the stick as FAT32, diskpart erase, chromebook utility erase and installing it with the specific HANA serial number showed at the bottom of my chromebook screen.
The result is now that my Chromebook is now completely unbootable. I have read through the logs using Ubuntu, but all I can make out of is that the system is failing to install the firmware for whatever reason. Included seems the software can't find specific files, I did not make any changes to the software write protection and hardwrite write protection seems to be enabled and no important settings were messed with other than what I disclosed. A Sandisk was used and a FistAD disk both returning the same error and producing the same logs. The model is: HANA K7A-C2S-A2J-G2U-H2U-A3A-A34
Log file is included, thank you in advance for all your advice.
Sorry, forgot log.
