Can you avoid having Brave browser move bookmarks after sort?

Hi:

Here's my trouble report for the Brave Browser, taken right from the Brave community forum. I'm posting here because my post there was closed after 30 days with no answers given.

Any help would be appreciated.

Twice now, with 1.61.104, when I clicked on Sort bookmarks by name, Brave moved a bunch of my bookmark folders to the toolbar up top.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
Hamburger menu, Bookmarks, Click on Bookmarks folder. Sort by Name.

Expected result:

Leave bookmarks in the Bookmarks dropdown menu .

Reproduces how often:
Don’t know. I’ve only tried it twice, but don’t want to try it again and make things worse.

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
Windows 10 X64 , Brave browser 1.61.104

Additional Information:
Is there a way to stop this from happening and also is there a way to move the folders off the title bar and back to the bookmarks dropdown?
I find this very confusing.
