Use it all the time. Very reliable and updates regularly.

I'm posting from it right now in Linux. It's a nice browser, but all too similar to Chrome, Chromium, Iron, Vivaldi, Slimjet, Yandex, etc, etc.....even M$ Edge. All share the same code-base, and all function basically the same. The different devs modify their respective builds "on top" of the code base, but there's a limit to how far they can take it.....
I've used these browsers for almost 17 years, ever since the open-source Chromium (and its sibling, Chrome), burst onto the scene in the autumn of 2007. I was part of the original 'beta' test program during the summer of that year.....and I've seen a few major cock-ups over that time-span, too!

As my member title indicates, I am a web browser enthusiast. Still, even though my favorite browser is Mozilla Firefox, I also use the Opera browser and many other Mozilla Firefox and Chromium-based browsers.
The fact that the Opera browser is Chromium-based means it uses the same Blink browser engine as Google Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers. This allows for a similar browsing experience across many browsers.
However, before you download and try out the Opera browser, you might want to read about its history because it is an essential read about the browser, the Opera company that developed it, and the company's various business practices.
And then, it is up to you to decide whether you want to try the Opera browser or not, but just for the record, I still use it but only to keep it continuously updated, and that is, by the way, how I also use most, if not all, of my Chromium-based browsers.
Good luck!

Opera is OK, but was it was better when it wasn't a chrome clone. (IMO)
It (and some other companies owned by Opera Software) got sold to a Chinese consortium, and is no longer from the original Norwegian founders.

I used it a for a little while before it went Chromium-based, I can't remember exactly why I stopped using it? As has already been mentioned, like many browsers, it's just another Chromium browser so it really makes little difference when it comes to selecting a browser. One of my favourites is Pale Moon and Brave on Windows and then Libre Wolf on GNU/Linux.
