We are using cisco access points. We had some time ago problems after the firmware update to 1.0.4.3. Frequently several time a week some of the 22 WAP125 access points either had poor network throughput, or were not reachable by wifi or lan (but the SSID was still shown). A hard reboot seemed to fix the problem for some time. This did not seem to affect our WAP361. So we downgraded to firmware 1.0.2.0 and the problem got back to ~once per month. Now we upgraded to 1.0.5.0 again, configured a WAP reboot once every week and the problem came back, since now only the “connects impossible” problem: 4 reboots necessary in one week. One device had the problem even 5 minutes after a reboot again. No logs on the WAP125 from the affected period. The access points get warm, but don’t seem to have a temperature problem since it is winter now. They don’t seem to be overloaded, since not more than 15 devices are connected simultaneously. Firmware 1.0.2.0 is not available anymore and the security fixes from 1.0.4.3 and 1.0.5.0 should be installed.
