I have tried all I know and have read online but I am dumbfounded why. It worked fine before but just one day it wasn't connected, so Im using the ethernet cable. Drivers updated, adapter changes and more. Anyone please help me? Thank you

You have two problems here involving two different computers and as a practical matter we prefer to deal with one problem at a time, or 1 topic - 1 problem. We find this minimises confusion.Your internet problem is in the correct place, here, but you need to start another topic about the SD cards in the 'External Hardware' section.

In both cases you need to give basic data about the computer in question - make, model and serial number at a minimum and if either is a Dell then include the number from the barcode on its bottom surface. This number takes you directly to the correct support page for a Dell, a valuable tool.

Actually, I posted the topic with the SD card in another section prior to this one. I just stated that due to the level of frutration with two issues now.

The laptop with the WiFI issue is a Dell Precision 7720.

I don't see a serial number but in system info the product ID is 00326-10000-00000-AA507 and Device ID is: 11518DE5-C433-41C4-9942-63745323CD6F

Regarding your WiFi NIC issue: What do you mean by "even after I manually turn it on"?

Are you using windows? What version are you running? Are you running on warranty with the device?

Have you tried toggling the Hardware Lock of the wifi card? Are you certain that the Airplane Mode is not active?

Any memorable events prior to the issue occuring (updates, software installation, damage to the device, etc...).

If warranty is void and you're feeling adventurous you can open the device and change the wifi card. If you're even crazier, you can try applying nailpolish to PIN20 and permanently disable hardware lock functionality.

Otherwise just return the Laptop to Dell and get a new one.

Many options, equally as many questions my friend.

Windows 10 uncertain of version at the moment as I'm not near it but it's the latest version due to the auto updates. No warranty. I own it outright. No memorable events that I recall other than some minor internet issues with my old provider of intermitten connection. Feb 1 I switched to a new provider but still having WiFi issues with that laptop. Also had a recent auto update for WIndows prior to that but uncertain if it began immediately after or not.

In the lower right corner at the wifi/internet icon, I click it and have the option to turn on WiFI. It has a drop down menu to turn on in 30 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours or manually. I turn it on manually, which takes me to settings network & internet section to click on the WiFi switch icon, but it never turns on. Airplane mode is not active.

I thought about the card being bad but prefer to try other solutions before replacing. I own the laptop, can't return for a new.

Download and install Speccy - https://www.ccleaner.com/speccy

Run it, and then go to File and Publish Snapshot. Post the resulting link in your next reply

There should be a function (Fn) on your keyboard which is usually on the F1-F12 buttons. One of them turns the WiFi NIC on and off on a Hardware level so that if it is turned off, even the OS can't start it. Try toggling that button.

If this does nothing, check for Network and WiFi related settings in the BIOS/UEFI.

If that again does nothing, Press "Win + X" and call the Device Manager. In there you should at least be able to find the NIC, right click it, go to properties and delete the driver for the WiFi NIC. Then connect via LAN and reboot, this shoud automatically install the driver, if not, then do a manual Windows Update and check for Additional Updates (not sure what the function is actually called but it's in the same menu as the Windows Update).

If still no driver can be found, check the official DELL website for drivers for your specific model and manually install them.
