I use webplus x2 to make my website and Just Host are my server. I have had my website for 13 years and all files are in the correct folders and been working well with any changes I make with the replacement of files....until now.

All I have done this time was to change the master page background colour as I do on occasion and now my saved website files on my computer show this message.

'Some pictures have been blocked to help prevent the sender from identifying your computer'

Unfortunately before I noticed this I already uploaded the new 'home page' and now everyone viewing my website's home page sees blocked images and buttons. I cannot update all the other pages because they will change to the same.

The problem must be my computer because Just Host server has the same route for changing updating files and the program I use to make the website has had no changes. My computer as all computers have variables in having changes made.

Am I allowed to say my website so you can see what I mean?

How can I stop my computer from blocking my images when saving my files in a folder on my computer ready for upload?Attached File  327356064_1136123447067155_7678109182358529873_n.jpg   13.84KB   0 downloads

I run a small web-site for a Club I am a member, it used to be two but one Club was dissolved, and have only once had a problem which turned out to have been self inflicted. I would suggest that you carefully go back over your design changes on your home page then re-upload it. Does the software you are using allow you to pre-view the site in a browser before you upload it ?  If you can, check the pre-view carefully.

Any changes I have made are now irrelevant to the problem. This is because I have looked into my old saved files from 2018 website folder and all the previews of the pages show the same problem of all images and buttons not showing but rather the little boxes with a cross in them.

Could this be because you are using WebPlus 2 ?  There were at least eight versions released after that one. A very quick look in a search engine suggests that it is still possible to download versions of WebPlus much later than v2, or take a search on eBay. Serif are no longer releasing any versions of WebPlus. I use v7 mostly and I haven't had any of these problems.

Little boxes with a cross (actually an "x") indicate the web server software/site believes those images are missing. Are they where the html pages reference them to be?

It doesn't matter where the "X" boxes are. They are placeholders for graphics. Are the graphics files in the correct locations for those frames?

Yes they have always stayed in the same place and nothing has been altered regarding them on the computer in making the web page. The change on the page was simply the background colour which has been done before many times, then uploaded to the server. The problem seems to be my computer not sending them to the server.

Usually means the error that you have is that there is data in the pictures which you should be wiping or copyrighting before uploading them.   Download your pics and look at the properties, there are other programs that are good for just wiping pic data.

The pictures are my own and therefore no copyright. They have been upload many times to the server when changes have been made in the past.
