Not easily found piece of information, or so far not easy for me. But, does anyone know who mewe social platform uses for hosting their servers? I hope it's not AWS.

It is, indeed, hosted on Amazon Web Servers.

Are you worried it will suffer the same fate as Parler?

Thanks for looking that up.

Yes

Basically if Amazon shutdown Parler, then it is quite possible it will get pissed off at MeWe and do the same to them.

Any server must be hosted, and they use Amazon. For example, I use a different hosting service for my site, this is the choice of each company

Very true, but in these days, all it seems to take to get a large organization pissed off at you is to say or do one thing that the company doesn't like and your done.

Killing Parler on AWS is just the start, this created precedence for them to kill off anyones site for virtually no reason whatsoever.  Freedom of speech apparently doesn't apply here.

By the same token, if there were groups on Parler that were violating the law, then yes, those groups perhaps needed better moderation, but to kill off the whole platform for the actions of a relative few groups or users, is a harbinger of disaster.

Freedom of speech does not apply to private companies. If Amazon (or YouTube or whoever) don't want that content on their servers, they are well within their rights to remove it.
