Does anybody have any experience with Wirelessbuy Unlimited Hotspot Mobile for internet service? I remember seeing it mentioned here a while back, but can't find the post.

I live in a rural area and my only options for internet are pretty much satellite or cell service. Two years ago, Verizon flat out lied about their home internet service to get me to sign up, my contract is finally up.

Is WirelessBuy Mobile actually unlimited Hotspot, meaning there is no data caps, no throttling, etc? This would be hooked up to my router and used as whole home internet.

Maybe someone has a better recommendation?

From WirelessBuy's support page:

https://www.wirelessbuy.com/support.php

  • Is my data really always unlimited?.

Yes. Your data will never be cut off.

All our plans include UNLIMITED talk, text, and data. However, amount of 4G LTE - High-speed data is subject to the package you choose. After you run out of your allotted amount, you will be throttled to slower speeds but still be connected.

For the if your plan comes with unlimited LTE data, you get unlimited 4G LTE data. However, during times of congestion, it is subject to network deprioritization (currently estimated at approximately 50GB).

To explain, if you use more than 50GB of data in one cycle, your data usage will be prioritized below others for the remainder of that data cycle. The only time that you’re likely to see the effects of that, though, is when you’re at a location on the network that is congested, during which time you may see slower speeds. Once you move to a different location or the congestion goes down, your speeds will likely go back up. And once the new data cycle rolls around, your usage will be reset.

I suggest you also check out their FAQ entitled:

"Is there anything else I can be charged for?" on the same support page.

According to me you should check the security and privacy of this service. Mobile internet service should be affordable and releaible.

It appears you haven't used Google much yet. I typed in Wirelessbuy + reviews  and got this

https://www.reviews.io/company-reviews/store/unlimited-hotspot-wirelessbuy-com

It's probably not likely yet, but have you checked to see if you can get Starlink in your area yet?

https://www.starlink.com/

If that became available, it would be much better than Wirelessbuy.
