I'm currently in the situation over if I should continue having a Point-To-Point network/broadband installed or should I cancel it.

There is this new thing in my area called "Air Fibre", it consists of a modem, and a satellite dish pointed at a tower. According to the technician I spoke to, Air Fibre can offer speeds up to 15Mbps of download and 10Mbps upload, and latency/ping wouldn't be an issue. The "Air Fibre" is piggybacking off the national ISP, which is reassuring as I know it's gonna have quality. But then the technician, told me that Air Fibre is a franchise, and the tower is owned by an individual, not a company, in my town, which triggered red flags in my head.

How safe is Point-To-Point Networks in terms of privacy and anonymity? Can the person who owns the tower have access to any of my data that goes through his tower?

i wouldn't trust it personally,

but then again, i am very skeptical type of person in general,

i would go with a big name ISP, even if it costs a bit more

just my two cent opinion

The modem technically comes from the ISP, not like an unknown third-party that provides modems and hijacks an ISPs line to provide internet. And the modem will connect to the ISP's line. So it's a legitimate connection.

What has me concerned though is how there is a person is in between me and the ISP's line. The person in question owns the tower I'm gonna be connecting to. So there's a good chance he has the ability to see the data coming from my devices that is sent from my modem.

I'm probably just being paranoid though.

A Point to Point Connection is a private data connection securely connecting two or more locations for private data services. A point to point connection is a closed network data transport service which does not traverse the public Internet and is inherently secure with no data encryption needed. Due to limited user accessibility, information shared over PPP networks remains secure. This element of security is rare among standard internet functions.
