Hello everyone

I have a Firestick 4K which has had a reset.  When it comes to the sign-in page (the one where you connect your Amazon account) the remote is completely dead.  Just a few points to assist:

1.  I have tried 2 other remotes which all work and have new batteries

2. I have pressed the "HOME" button and tried to get it to pair - nothing!

3. I have pressed the back button and the circular button at 3 o'clock and nothing.

Nothing seems to get the remote to work or pair.  NOTHING!

Is it possible to reset the device using ADB link or other app?   However, it was my understanding that the Firestick needed to have ADB turned on in the settings before it can connect?

Does anyone have any advice please?

Cheers

Aussie

Pressing Back and Home for 10 seconds clears and unpairs the remote. Have you done this? Press Home button again for 10 seconds to repair.

I'm not sure this will help but remove the batteries from the remote. Hold the power down for 30 seconds. Replace the batteries and see if you can pair. Other than that I'm out of ideas, sorry.

Sometimes, there are silly reasons why our Firestick remote does not work. Some of the common reason are as following:-

Dead batteries: If the batteries in your remote are dead or low, your remote may not work. Try replacing the batteries with fresh ones.

Pairing issues: If your remote is not properly paired with your Firestick, it may not work. Try re-pairing the remote with the Firestick by pressing and holding the Home button on the remote for 10 seconds.

Range: Make sure that you are within range of your Firestick. The remote may not work if you are too far away.

Interference: Other electronic devices in the area can sometimes interfere with the remote's signal. Move away from other devices or turn them off and try using the remote again.

Physical damage: If your remote has been dropped or damaged, it may not work properly. Check for any physical damage to the remote and try using a different remote to see if the issue is with the remote or the Firestick itself.

Software issues: If there are any software issues with your Firestick, it may not respond to the remote. Try restarting the Firestick and see if that resolves the issue.

Remote malfunction: If none of the above solutions work, it's possible that the remote itself is malfunctioning and may need to be replaced.
