Hi, I understand that official support for Microsoft Office 2013 has ended earlier this year around April.

I'm currently running Windows 10 and Office 2013 Home and Student OEM version from Dell.

I want to give my institution free Office 365 subscription a try (which involved uninstallation of Office 2013 first), but I figured after my free education license expired (which is soon, like in the next 6 months?), I want to fall back to Office 2013, since I don't want to pay for new subscription due to the fact I already paid once for Office 2013.

However, there isn't seem to be any official download link for Office 2013 anymore. Given my past experience during reinstalling Office 2013, Microsoft sometime didn't recognized my product key and my bind Microsoft account, I have to try many times till it work somehow.

So, any advice regarding using Office 2013 again in the future?

Thank you.

Hi:

As you mentioned, I don't think there is any longer an official download link from MS.
An internet search turns up several, but I personally would not trust them & cannot attest to their safety.
So, I won't provide any specific links.

Office 365 (now called MS 365) does offer at least one perk: free OneDrive storage space, as well as a few features unavailable in the standalone Office suite.

But if you're not willing or able to go that route, better/safer options than running obsolete, insecure Office 2013 might be:

Move to a free alternative, such as LibreOffice, or take advantage of the MS Office 2021 deals that are available from time to time here and at other computer help sites, via StackSocial, etc.

By the way, if you are still a student with a valid institutional email address, there are also online vendors that sell MS, Adobe and other proprietary software at deep discounts.

Thank you for the link to Dell Digital Locker.

If I remembered correctly, back in 2013 when I first purchased this laptop (along with the Office 2013 license) from Dell online, the Dell Digital Locker wasn't available yet.

A quick check on Dell Digital Locker found no record under my account.

I have already proceed with Office 365 installation, in the future after my free subscription expired, I think I will just download Office 2019 as replacement.

Thanks again.

Another option....

You can get Office 2021 Pro Plus from StackSocial at a deeply discounted price, through BC & through some other computer sites.

BOLO for announcements here & at other computer help sites.

The only "catch" is that you will need a MS Account for the Office 2021 (but I presume you already have that).

(You can still use a Local User Account on the computer itself.)

I just tried using WindowsDownloader, and it found and began to download several versions of Office 2013. The files it fetches are hosted by Microsoft, IIRC.

www.heidoc.net

Very handy tool to have, by the way. It's a real time-saver.

I supposed I should clarify, I'm currently running Office 365, moving forward I may just continue to do so, given the fact that Office 2013 is out of support and Win 10 is soon.

In the future, it's most likely I'll move to a new system anyway.

I thank you all again for your helps previously.
