Hi,

Is it possible to do the following with some sort of script? It will close all tabs when new ones open in chrome?  Please let me know. I appreciate it.

Thx

Probably could be done. Maybe by Javascript, and there is a repository of scripts to be found but it will require an extension for the script to be executed.

See some extensions for Chrome...maybe something there is close to what you are looking for... or at the bottom of that page are listed more similar extensions..

If you right click the new tab in the tab bar, there is always the option to Close other tabs or Close tabs to the right.

Choosing the Close other tabs is probably the easiest method to do what you are wanting, however it is a manual action not automated.

Without using an unnecessary extension in the browser.

yes, I am using an extension called close all tabs to close them all. Still would like to do it in a 1 click manner as the extension i use to use was simple and I used it for over 10 years.  :)
