I had the wrong impression of VirtualBox. I thought it was one of those apps that
required weeks or months to master. In fact, it's very easy to use, but I am having
a problem.
I've got two small Linux distros running as guests. Porteus and SliTaz. For some
reason, VirtualBox cannot connect to the internet.
Performed a Google search and found this article about connecting VirtualBox to the
internet.
https://linuxhint.com/enable-internet-virtualbox/
The article says Bridged Adapter is the best choice, so that's what I tried. Didn't work.
Also tried NAT. Again, no internet connection. I've been tinkering with other network
adapters and serial ports. I really don't know what I'm doing, but trying something is
better than doing nothing.
Is there an app that can provide all the info I need about my internet hardware and
software? If yes, that might be the solution to this "no internet connection" problem.
If I cannot resolve this problem with VirtualBox, maybe I should switch to VMware Player.
I need an app that will automatically detect my network settings, so I don't have to guess.
