What is this forum for?

A common problem when buying a new tablet now a days is that there are so many options that it becomes hard to narrow down the right tablet that will fulfill ones needs entirely. Whether it be the many options of Operating system (commonly Apples iOS, Android, or Windows Phone OS), screen size, processor power, or even screen quality. With all of these options one can easily be overwhelmed, especially when you factor in budget.

With that in mind, this forum was created to help advise new tablet buyers as to what tablet may be suited to their needs. Using this forum you can ask for suggestions on manufacturers, models, specifications of tablets, and Operating Systems based around your budget and requirements.

How to ask for help in this forum.

As each person has different needs and uses for a tablet, we felt it would be best to create a template that can be used when looking for advice with this forum when buying a new tablet.

The new tablet purchase template is:

My budget for the new tablet is:

What are the primary uses for this tablet (IE: email, web browsing, playing games, etc)?

What Operating System are you used to or would prefer if any (leave blank if you're unsure)?

How big of a screen would you want?

Will this tablet be for college, work, home etc?

Do you want to be able to do two things at once, or one thing at a time?

Do you want USB ports to plugin flash drives?

When creating your new topic, please start the topic with this phrase so people know that you are using the template: Purchase Template:

For example, a topic title should be something like the following when using the template: Purchase Template: Need a new tablet for college

What to expect.

Once you post the above template, with your answers, our members will review the information and then either ask you for further questions to help narrow the choices or start suggesting tablets for you. Please remember, that the suggestions given are the opinions of our members and some may have different opinions than others. We will, though, try to give you unbiased advice that will satisfy your requirements in a tablet.
