It has nothing to do with lying.  It has to do with We Can Not Further Help You.

I just remembered something: I don't know which update it was, but right after a large one is when this issue started, and on google, it's not just me

I do have a Comment re Post # 13.

 

I have never seen a system nor have I seen a OEM system that you do not have access to the Key.   You paid for it, as well it is against the law not giving you the key.

 

You have every right to format and reinstall Windows thus need the key.

 

The OEM pays for a bulk # of keys.     If they are hiding  the key and do not provide you with the key then it is a shady company and would expect that they are using more than the allowed bulk number of activation's.  Thus your key activates then deactivates.

You have rightful cause to take this up with the company that supplied the system with no key.    In future it is always best to buy a Retail Key.

 

EDIT : This does not negate the fact you must have and maintain a Activated System.
