OK,so now we know that this is Ease-Of-Access poping up at logon.

This thread has suddenly become weird with everyone now discussing Ease-of-access.

Here is an example of what is supposed to pop-up at logon:

The icon of the little man (Ease of access) is there to provide help to less-able users navigate the various screens and options.

After restoring your computer, did you immediately deselect that option in Settings I mentioned in post #10?

No, I did nothing except tidying up things which I don't think could have anything to do with this. If I am quick I can get the window with options and they are all set to NO and there is nothing to click.

I thought the Autoruns64 log should show something but I don't know if it does.

OK, I think I may be narrowing-in on the problem. I took down the system copy from two week back for the second time and everyting was right again after boot. The only thing I have done after that has been to insalliin Windows updates. The updates I installed was KB890830 KB5036620 KB5036893 KB5007651. Nothing else has been done to the system so it looks as if the updates contains something. HELP!

The first thing you should have done was to head straight over to Settings and UNTICK the "Suggest ways to get the most out of Windows and finish setting up this device" option. I keep mentioning the importance of this so why didn't you do it? It's the setting that triggers the incomplete "Let's finish setting up your device" screen you've been getting at every startup.

Also, are you now saying that the problem has returned after installing those updates? If it has then it's possible that a third-party app, perhaps one of your system tweakers, is responsible for the incomplete screen. I can give you details on how to perform a "clean boot" to rule out that possibilty.

I had to search for the page "Suggest ways ..." because it was not to find under my Settings.I found the box to untick and the problem is gone.

Thanks Squirrel - much obliged!
