Hello 2900poobear

What is the operating system and browser used here?

Please click Start > Run, type inetcpl.cpl in the runbox and press enter.

Click the Connections tab and click the LAN settings option.

Verify if "Use a proxy..." is checked, if so, UNcheck it and click OK/OK to exit.

Now check if it is working again.

I just want to say thank you. not for helping so much as having this site available. It seems if one is willing, there are many routes to take to fixing sick 'puters, I have read the "read me's first" and they are very helpful. I am hoping that I have followed the directions correctly. Thanks Again, Karl

Depending on what the question pertains to would dictate where you post.

If it is having to do with a (possible) infection. Then post in the Am I Infected forum. If it is related to a particular Operating system then post in the like titled forum. If it is hardware related the post in either Internal or External hardware, etc. ,etc., etc.
