What's an inexpensive AIO product line with a strong pump and low price?

BeQuiet isn't bad but not that great. Kind of pricey too if not on a deep discounted sale.

Another one of those 'in vogue' products for the brand recognition not for the performance.

Setting up your own pump and rad arrangement for testing would be a skewed test for AIO pump comparisons?

Could it still be considered an AIO or now a custom loop?

Coolant would be changed and which or what would be used?

Not all rads are equal in thickness, or have the same fin density so it would change the test results with a custom rad setup?

They have the pump in the rad setup.

Kind of confusing as how to set it up - vertically (side or front) for the best or horizontally (top) to avoid getting air trapped in the pump. Or do it even matter how it is placed?

Good quality, expensive, ok support.

Lian Li Galahad has a good reputation.

Bad support, some problems in AIOs with biogunk filling up the microfins.

Deepcool Mystique series is using that trendy but stupid models with gifs seen in the pump block.

Probably needs software to run it and do  the temperature curves as well.

Something I would personally avoid.

 

Probably I would go with Arctic if I need an AIO in the future.

Thanks for the tip. The truth is that the difference between Mystique and LS/LT is pretty small, but large enough that LF3 fits in between.

Intel and AMD have different hot-spots (?) on the CPU. Thus these have different performances with certain coolers (the blocks vary in IHS coverage) depending if it's an Intel or AMD.

So are you going to do the tests with both AMD and Intel or just Intel?

Yes, but I don't have the money to put together an AMD PC at this time, so that's probably years away, especially if I get put on disability at work.

AMD chiplets are located on the bottom side of the CPU, Intel's are in the middle.

It's important to get an offset mount for a cooler not designed specifically for new AMD (even old AMD coolers). Getting a bend-correction frame is not unless you discover that your CPU is starting to bend, which shouldn't happen unless you've got a hot CPU, AFAIK.

Getting a bend-correction frame is important for hotter Intel CPUs (12th gen: some i7-k, i9; 13th & 14th gen: i7 & i9) AFAIK.

Corsair pretty? Depends on your aesthetics. I just saw a hub-shaped case from Barrow that I think is pretty. Do you?

I should qualify that the support is good on the Corsair website. If you get customer service, their knowledge is generally poor. The techies are very knowledgable.

Deepcool tends to be better on AM4 and AM5 on AMD than one Intel, although the difference is probably slight. AFAIK.

Barrow Hub case? Not particularly - look too utilitarian. Steam Punk maybe. Nice wood cabinet maybe. An all chrome, glass and mirrors case maybe. An all sand-cast metal case maybe.

That looks like anyone could make using a large rim (Corvette maybe for one choice) and dropping in some components. But it does beat out the regular sheet metal and plastic boxes we mostly use for cabinets.

Yes, I know. It's sad,really. And then the travesty that is EKWB...Wow. Did you watch the exposes by Gamers Nexus and Jayz2Cents? They're not only not paying their employees, they're asking for them to buy stocks? What? Insanity!

EK is probably strategizing on how to recover from the bad press while guzzling champagne and eating caviar and tenderloin.

EKWB probably will give out more youtuber persuader money or have more paid written trade 'advertising' articles to further market and advertise the products.

Further more with some good deals (deep discounts to the sellers such as Newegg or Microcenter for the US area for example) for flooding the market places with their products and on discounted sales for the consumers, too.

Some things never change and even bad reputations can be overcome and vendors like these often see financial turn around to the good side of the accounting books.

There are many vendors in the IT/computer industry that have come back strong from bad reps and made a good name.

Let us wait and see what develops.

As for treating the employees badly - I think Elon Musk does the same sort of treatment or abuse to his slaves... err employees. Many companies do the same. US Government runs out of money from time to time and the civil servants and federal employees don't paid for some time either, it does and has happened before several times.

It's the same old story - the top guys get the treasures or big prizes and the workers on the bottom get the table scraps.

Champagne is only good if it's the expensive kind or then it's just a fancy name for over priced cheap sparkling wine.

Caviar better be from the Caspian or its just plain bad. I have had both kinds and much from the second kind.

Tenderloin  - I would rather have lobster or steak and lobster. I eat tenderloin all the time, so nothing special. Being this far inland makes seafood on the pricey side.

No imported French truffles? I like those funky mushrooms.

Hmmm, well I guess we'll see. I have to wonder how many of their complaints, especially the ones who jumped on the bandwagon, are really motivated by money rather than helping the people who've actually been screwed over in a big way.

Bezos, Elon, Zuck, those are galaxy-class bleeps along with Gates and a bunch more. The US Gov't is just a legalized form of a fascist state that robs the world to enrich itself. The people behind it won't actually care if they have to shift to another country someday. They have no loyalty to a politically defined border, just to wealth and power. Me, I'm digressing from the topic now.

I looked into my finances and can't afford to buy a full set of AIOs. Looks like I have to put that test series on hold indefinitely. Maybe I should stop eating truffles and caviar. Oh, wait, I don't like caviar and I've never eaten a real truffle. Woe is me!
