Have  you tried the wireless dongle on another computer at all.

 

 

You could be going all around the houses with this only to find out that the wireless dongle is faulty.

 

Let us know the answer to the question above + the brand and model name or number of the wireless dongle

Yes. That's my computer.
 
I have Speccy and MTB installed because I downloaded them with my other computer, put the download on a flash drive and then used the flash drive to install to the Windows 10 computer.  And yes, no problem with wifi on other computers.
 
I understand that I can plug it into my router. My router is downstairs.  I was wanting/hoping/ to find a way to get this computer's wifi operating because I don't have a place to work downstairs. Sadly, looks like it's impossible without replacing the motherboard.

In the past I have used this wireless dongle with no problems at all.

Not what was asked as it does not confirm whether or not the dongle that you purchased for this PC even works.

 

As I see it you are going nowhere with this until you have the correct system drivers for the MB installed and done in the correct order.

 

Do you have a spare USB flashdrive that you can download and save the drivers to, let us know and we can then provide the correct steps for going about this.
