Most of the major anti-virus vendors participate in VirusTotal, Jotti's Virus Scan, and a few other similar sites but that participation list changes from time to time. This is the current list of the companies that take part in VirusTotal with their anti-virus engines. <- click on the Credits Tab.

Why a vendor like MicroWorld Technologies would choose not to be involved is a question you would need to ask them.

In reviewing this topic I noted it did not mention Virustotal has added the ability to submit and analyze suspicious URLs.

This site is excellent. The home page below provides information on how to submit a sample, plus the Top 10 viruses process in the past 24 hours

Breaking Virus News
http://www.virustotal.com/flash/news

Weekly and 24 hour statistics
http://www.virustotal.com/flash/estadisticas_en.html

the news link and 24 hr stats are 404 paged, not found, might on moved or be offline for support?  Just FYI, ran into this a little bit ago, love this site

This topic was created in 2004 so some links may have changed since then. I fixed one and replaced the other with two newer links.

didnt see that, just giving a heads up, things change all the time, thanks for what you do.

You see the new 8.1 whole in chrome and IE

heres the link

http://www.csoonline.com/article/743220/researchers-hack-internet-explorer-11-and-chrome-at-mobile-pwn2own

or go to

www.csoonline.com, somehow associated with computerworld.com.  Good resource for info, but less like wired.com in as much as you dont get 90 replys to each topic and a break down of why Apple is Better than Windows, and how we all are in the MATRIX, or whatever people shot in forums.

thanks again

virustotal is great if you find a issue or have a bunch or process to sort through, great tool and community to be apart of, but you will need some knowledge of the topic, but over all its GREAT when you think a website is suspect.

A lot of folks know just enough to be dangerous. It's what you do with your knowledge that makes the difference.

yes sir, that is why you type and read twice click once.  Take your time, and always study on new topics and technologies and WANT to learn, not just fix it, but know why it happened.  You do that and its golden, most of the time..... Ive had my but kicked my medical equipment, but that is how you get better.
