Should I replace Avast with Windows Defender?

I don't use Windows 10 so I could be wrong but it was my understanding that Windows Defender Security Center was rebranded as Windows Security Center (WSC) and allows management of all security needs, including Windows Defender Antivirus and Windows Defender Firewall.

Is this topic going to be updated since Avast , AVG, AVIRA are now under GEN who also manages Norton Life Lock ?
