Is using a 3rd-party software updater program to update Microsoft Edge WebView2 on Windows safe, or maybe it is best to only use a 3rd-party software updater program as a reference, which I already do?

And leave that task to be automatically performed by Microsoft Edge Chromium and Windows. However, the only downside to that course of action is that it usually takes a few days for it to be updated.

I mostly manually update Microsoft Edge Chromium from within its Help and Feedback > About window. It is a convenience trade-off between maybe risking to brick one's system or not being fully updated.

Good luck! :)

I decided to use my favorite search engine, Startpage, to research how to manually update Microsoft Edge WebView2.

As such, I found an article on How to manually update the WebView2 Runtime? #4036 #8891502, which worked like a charm.

This course of action will ensure that I safely can manually update Microsoft Edge WebView2 and no more worries about this.

I also created and enabled several scheduled tasks to automatically update and upgrade my browsers, but somehow, that will not work.

Consequently, I have to manually update all my Mozilla Firefox and Chromium-based browsers, but that works well for me.

Good luck! :)
