This might be a weird Q: Is it possible to do all this in a virtual machine? I can get Google Chrome there, no problem. Thanks.

Great! Doing it now. Will update ASAP.
UPDATE: Of course there are a bunch of updates @ this particular VM. Sigh. Will update as soon as it's done.

Sorry for the later update. A lot going on with the new place.
So no luck @ the VM using Google Chrome. It does that same thing as all the other browsers I've tried and with the same messages after logging into the Comcast modem/router. And yes, everything's configured correctly between the host and guest.

Are your other devices in the 10.0.0.0/8 range?
I'm not sure, how do I find this out?
Does it work plugged in via ethernet?
Yes. But on the modem/router page it stiil says it's connection is Wifi 2.4Ghz.

If your camera is at 10.0.0.150, you need a computer in that 10.0.0.X IP class, even temporary while you are setting up this camera. If not, that would explain why you can't reach the camera (This site can't be reached) using your browser.

cryptodan and Dominique1:
Thank you both for your input! Things got busy for me, so I apologize for the super late reply.
To make a long story short, I'm going to upgrade to a new/modern camera system with better resolution/specs. But, I would still like to figure this out, if either of you are up for it. If tech is old but still works, I always like to repurpose it, if possible. Again, I appreciate all the advice.
So as things stand, nothing has changed and the device is unreachable. I tried different browsers both on my PC and a VM, no luck.

I'm not sure what you're meaning here by needing a computer in that IP class. Can you elaborate on that? Cheers.

Make sure your computer in on the same network (wired or WiFi), and give it 10.0.0.15 for example (mask 255.255.255.0, gateway 10.0.0.1). Then try accessing your camera 10.0.0.150 in your browser.

I would try Ethernet first, if it has an Ethernet port.

Will check the settings again later this evening and post back. Thank you.

I did that Shplad. With this device, you have to set it up using a wired connection first and then switch to wireless.
