If by "basic" you mean simple to use or easy to learn, then a good one is  OpenShot.

 

Another one you might want to try in case you buy a Samsung Camcorder HMX may be Intelli-Studio, which comes with the camcorder.  There is a way to download and install onto your computer from the camcorder.

While it has been.  My feeling is different from that now.

 

I still think OpenShot is good or better, but I have lost familiarity with Intelli-Studio.  I have not used it in much over a year, and I found it being too slow to respond and not as easy to understand and learn as OpenShot.
