Hey,

Does anyone here have the slightest idea how to make a 2023 IdeaPad Flex 5i Chromebook (13", 6) laptop get into dev mode? I cannot find anything anywhere online about what to do to make the laptop a: go into recovery mode b: then go into dev mode. Please help! I bought this chromebook from my friend.

Thanks,

Jesse

Sincerely,

  Jesse

Thanks but I did try Esc/Refresh + Power. It just loads the laptop sign-in page.

Sincerely,

Hold down the Esc and Refresh keys down. Press the power button. Release the power button but keep pressing Esc + Refresh keys until you see a message on the screen then release the keys.

Enabling and Disabling Developer Mode wipes he Chromebook.

On some Chromebooks use the Maximize key instead of Refresh.

I figured it out. I feel so stupid! There was a right circle button I needed to press ALONG with ESC/REFRESH/PWR. Ugh. Thanks all.

Sincerely,

  Jesse

Is this the right circle key you are talking about? This is the refresh key.

No. The button I mean is called the NOVO key and its on the side of the laptop. It also serves as a power (on/off) button too.

It's unusual to have a Novo button on a Chromebook. Those are on Lenovo Windows computers to enter the UEFI/BIOS settings or doing a Windows recovery.
