Over the past five years I have had a few sites collecting my data and then changing my password so that I can't go back in and edit or delete my info.

Speaking with Ringside earlier today and they went silent after trying to confirm they had deleted my account ( I was locked out of it ).

Mail Com has done this to me as well.

Is this a new scam?
